Owner Wendy has been cutting men’s hair since 2012, and the shop’s strength is range: skin fades and tapers, beard work, braids, color, and a luxury mobile barber service that comes to your home, office or resort (mobile cuts start at $200 and they’ve worked the Scottsdale Princess and The Phoenician). It’s also one of the only Old Town shops that stays open Sunday morning, which matters when you land at Sky Harbor Saturday night with a Monday meeting.

Old Town Scottsdale and the Camelback corridor
This is the densest cluster in the city: seven shops within about a mile of Scottsdale Road and Indian School. Parking is the real constraint here. First & Mane has a reserved customer lot on Goldwater; the rest rely on Old Town’s garages and street spots, which fill fast on Friday and Saturday nights and during spring training and Barrett-Jackson season.

How to pick the right barbershop in Scottsdale
The rating tells you the shop is clean and the people are nice. It doesn’t tell you whether they can cut your hair. Four things that do:
- Book a barber, not a shop. Every shop above has two or three names that show up in review after review. The 4.6 vs 5.0 gap between shops is usually the gap between the best chair and the newest one. Ask for the name.
- Check the photos, not the stars. Google photo reviews and the shop’s Instagram show whether their skin fades actually blend or just look sharp on day one. If your hair is curly, coarse or thinning, look for that in the portfolio before you sit down.
